Shared Library 01 - Louis De Belle
Shared Library is a recurring event where a dozen books are showcased in the windows of Small Small Space. Each time, different guests are invited
to share their personal library collections.
For the first event, the Milanese photographer Louis De Belle was our guest at Shared Library with a series of primarily rare photography books from his bookshelf.
These books explore the concept of the ‘ordinary’ portrayed in visually unusual or somehow surprising ways.
The titles range from cars ( Car Crash Studies, Nicolai Howalt ) to bird’s heads (Bird, Roni Horn ), passing through colourful city puddles (Pud, Jason Nocito ) until daily office life (Office, Lars Tunbjörk ).
Guests who visited were invited to browse through the titles while enjoying a freshly brewed cup of coffee by Michael Gardenia.
